The series of works investigates the correlation between the agency of non-human entities involved during post-traumatic stress disorder treatment, therapeutic material practices and the implicated distribution of visibility.
Plants, collected from the waiting room of the Center for Traumatic Stress Service were processed by removing chlorophyll, in this cay creating a pause in their cycle. “Trigger Objects”, objects used for activating a feeling of security in patients, were collected and materially reversed, opening up a new material potential.
A code was developed to insert text inside the binary code of a digital image, hence creating a glitch. A still from a Virtual Reality scenario re-enacting a traumatic event was altered by inserting untold words.
A written abstract narrative related to the use of everyday life objects in the re-enactments of traumas during the treatment of PTSD is presented in a video.
